CUSTOM FURSONA DESIGN TERMS

These Custom Fursona Design Terms apply to all digital character commissions, including fursona designs, character sheets, reference sheets, and other custom digital artwork created by FurMakers.
By purchasing a custom fursona design, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
COMMISSION PROCESS
The custom fursona design process generally follows these steps:

Submission of character ideas, references, or design requirements

Quote confirmation and order agreement

Payment confirmation
-
Sketch and design phase
-
Customer review and revisions
-
Final artwork delivery
Communication may occur during the design process to confirm details or request feedback.
DELIVERY FORMAT
Final artwork will be delivered digitally and may include formats such as:

PNG
-
JPG
-
PDF
Files are typically sent via email or download link.
Physical items are not included unless explicitly stated.
REVISION POLICY
Minor revisions may be allowed during the sketch or design stage.
However:

excessive revision requests may delay completion
-
major redesign requests may require additional fees
Once the final artwork has been approved and delivered, further revisions may require a new commission.
PRODUCTION TIME
Production time for digital artwork may vary depending on:

design complexity
-
revision requests
-
current commission workload
Estimated completion times are provided as general guidance and are not guaranteed deadlines.
CHARACTER OWNERSHIP
Customers retain ownership of their characters and character concepts submitted for commissions.
If FurMakers creates a new fursona design for the customer, full ownership of the character design transfers to the customer after full payment has been completed.
The customer may freely:

modify or redesign the character

update the character design
-
trade or sell the character to another owner
unless otherwise stated in the product description.
CUSTOMER COPYRIGHT RESPONSIBILITY
Customers must ensure that any references, artwork, or materials submitted for a commission are owned by them or used with proper permission.
FurMakers is not responsible for copyright disputes arising from materials provided by the customer.
If a copyright issue is discovered, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the commission.
ARTWORK AUTHORSHIP
While the customer owns the character design, the artwork itself remains the work of FurMakers.
Customers may not claim authorship of artwork created by FurMakers.
Credit to FurMakers as the artist is appreciated when sharing the artwork publicly.
FILE USE AND DISTRIBUTION
Customers may use the character design for personal purposes including:

social media profiles
-
character references
-
personal projects
Customers may freely transfer ownership of the character to another individual.
However, the original artwork files may not be resold or redistributed as standalone artwork without permission.
PORTFOLIO AND DISPLAY RIGHTS
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, FurMakers reserves the right to display commissioned artwork in:

portfolios
-
galleries
-
social media
-
promotional materials
This may include sketches, previews, or final artwork.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Digital commissions are subject to the conditions outlined in our Refund Policy.
Once work on the artwork has begun, cancellations and refunds may not be possible due to the time and effort involved in creating custom artwork.
REFUSAL OF COMMISSIONS
FurMakers reserves the right to refuse or cancel commission requests at our discretion.
Reasons may include:

inappropriate or illegal content requests

copyright concerns
-
abusive or disrespectful behavior

violation of our Terms of Service
